City host Arrows eyeing revenge

Polokwane City are at home this weekend hosting Lamontville Golden Arrows as they hope to return to winning ways in the Absa Premiership on Saturday evening at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Kick-off is at 6:00pm.
Rise and Shine will go all out looking for a victory to redeem themselves at home to ensure their visitors walk away empty handed.
Julio Leal’s side have registered two consecutive Absa Premiership wins over Jomo Cosmos and Maritzburg United before losing to Cavin Johnson’s Platinum Stars.
The Polokwane-based side will be boosted by the fact that their Brazilian mentor, Leal, has received his work permit and will be available to man the touchline.
The availability of the former Orlando Pirates coach comes at the right time when they meet the struggling Abafana Bes’thende at home.
On the log table, the Citizens occupy position 13 with 21 points from 18 league matches.

Midfielder Sipho Jembula is slowly picking up his form as he has helped to score two vital goals for City and he says they respect Arrows.
“I think we have to respect Arrows because they’re a good team, they play good football and it’s going to be a good game,” said Jembula.
“We prepared for this one like we always do and we have learned from our mistakes against Stars – we will work on rectifying them.
“We don’t want to read too much on their recent form, even if they can lose 10 games, they’re still a good team.
“We need to respect them because they can be dangerous, however, we must show them how we operate at home and avenge the 1-0 loss in the first round.”
Looking at Clinton Larsen’s outfit, Arrows will also go all out to bag the full three points and register their second win in 2016.
In their previous four league matches, the Durban-based side failed to get a point as they lost all their matches to Ajax Cape Town, Bidvest Wits, Chippa United and Kaizer Chiefs.
Following their poor run of form, the Premier Soccer League returnees are now placed at position 11 with 21 points from 17 matches.
The log standings will drive them to fight for a win at all costs and an advantage for them is that they beat City 1-0 in the first round at home.
Defender Nkanyiso Mngwengwe believes they have what it takes to win the match in Polokwane and their preparations have gone well.
“Yeah, all is well in our camp and we’re ready for the match, we are confident of going to Polokwane and will get a win,” said Mngwengwe.
“We can’t always wait to hear a message or two from the coach, but we must push because we know what is expected from us.
“We won the first leg and I think we can get something and although it’s their home game – we’ll fight.”
